Time well spent. I liked the animation and the characters were well developed, even if one dimensional at times.

Yes, it is simple, low stakes, and sweet, but not every show has to be “The Diplomat .” It is easy and breezy and does not challenge, but that’s okay. The acting is excellent. It is nice to see a depiction of old age that is not focused on doom and decline.

Scary and weird. Challenging to watch. Reminds me of Dante’s Inferno.

Good action series. Light on the suprtpowers, more about the characters.

Relaxing and easy to watch. Food looks great.

Long, indulgent, and grey. It is the essence grownup amorality. An anti war movie? Maybe, cause that’s where Frank becomes Frank. Anna Pacquin is us.

Some decent acting and nice cinematography are marred by the “twist for twist’s sakes” plot that forsakes character depth for mindless action. Not that there’s anything wrong with mindless action, however this one needed something more holding the action together. The mother – daughter relationship is a contrived and overplayed trope. The supernatural elements of the show, while silly, are not the least plausible facets of this farce, believe it or not. That dubious award goes to the nesting doll like conspiracy inside a conspiracy inside a conspiracy structure of the plot. In the end it just doesn’t make any sense. The ending is the best example of this problematic overdone device. The best parts are the athletic energetic action sequences, the beautiful scenery in Madrid, and some of the acting, especially the lead. I loved young Jenny, and some of the other minor actors in the flashback sequences did nice jobs with limited screen time. As always the main villain (male, not the older women) was fun. All in all a waste of time, but not a bad one.

Second season did not hold up to the first. Season 2 featured mediocre acting, poor special effects, and a completely predictable plot line that led nowhere. Also, they killed off one of the better actors (but it was fun because he was a villain).

A slog. No Imagration, humorless, but kind of funny anyway. I good waste of an hour and a half if you want mindless mediocrity.
