The plotline is tired and stereotypical. It is baffling how these high caliber actors/actresses chose to star in this movie. If we were in the early 90s, it might have worked to a certain degree, but we are way past that era and mindset. This is overlooking the fact that the male protagonist was able to get a tourist visa within months even weeks which is hardly the case in reality. His character is two-dimensional exuding machismo. Let’s just hope that we’ll see some growth in mainstream movies in the future.
