By far my favorite pokemon game of all time. If we're judging only mainline games, then HeartGold/Soulsilver are my favorites. This game is simply amazing. The story is amazing and handles mature subjects in a mature manner, still gives me tears in my eyes to this day. The music is also incredible, especially the song Don't Ever Forget. The visuals are very good for their time, they're a bit outdated compared to newer games, but you can tell that they genuinely put effort into this game unlike the mainline games after generation 6
