The reviews convinced me not to bother seeing the movie in the theatre, but what a silly mistake to listen to someone else's opinion on that. It was so lush and fun, and no one does a ballroom scene like Downton Abbey! Everything was spot on and I wish I had made a night of it with my hubby, as my father suggested, and saw it on the big screen. Hopefully, there will be a second movie and I'll get my chance. There is so much scope for an interesting ride leading into World War 2, the crash and the abdication of the throne. A great time period to bring back Rose and Madeleine all their American ties and new families. How cheerful that would be, especially for people exposed to the horrid side of humanity recently, it would be a welcome and needed escape.
