NO SPOILER REVIEW SAFE TO READ -Long and drawn out, it was 4 hours long with a 15min intermission. The acting was rough at points, lots of energy from the cast but it could have been done in 2 hours easily! Pros -Special effects were amazing and very well done! Lots of quick changes and spell effects which really brought the magic to life! -Story was very interesting and loved the concepts brought up through the play! They really broadened the world of harry potter! Amazing! Cons -There was a lot of filler sequences which were ok but really killed the momentum of the story. -A lot of unneeded and forced comedy. I know there is usually a decent amount comedy in these types of plays but it started to turn into one cheap gag after another and really pulled you out the plays immersion. -Some of the actors were good, but some were overacting most of their scenes, especially with the role of Scorpius. The silliness of the character just hurt the overall weights of any rising action or climax in the story. To relate I would compare him to a Jar Jar Binks :/
