Wandering Filipina

This portrays only one of the dark entities in the Philippines, Ungo, can be be good (healer/albularyo) or bad (mangbabarang), the good ones heals and help but you must offer them not necessarily monetary form, an item will do as exchange. The person with this dark powers can sense and see something normal people can't, but they must feed the entity inside them or else the entity will make the person suffer and it will hurt their own family through an unexplainable illnesses that even science can't explain. An old Ungo can't die without a willing successor of the entity in the family. My mother is a religious woman and as an eldest child she was set to inherit this dark power from her father, she used it in a good way by offering treatment in our village it is her way of feeding the entity because if she can't heal someone she suffer from skin disease and other illnesses, but mine and all of my siblings first born are either still born or lost in miscarriage, she confessed that sometimes the entity talked to her through a dream and its all just part of the bargain. My mother can identify a lot of tree's and plant's healing properties and once treat my cousin's breast cancer with cacao fruit and a charcoal powder and something else.. who knows what. Most people in the provinces of the Philippines believe in this, (but not the city people) they believed that these creatures are part of the angels that are cast out from heaven and they're living among as.
