I agree with the Seasonal description given below…. Wanted to give this Canadian novel a fair shake, but it got a bit too incredulous of what “Saint June” was able to accomplish and how she was viewed… and supposedly feared by the Commanders. My favourite character was Serena Joy as they did a great job with embellishing her character and made her relatable; The actress as well did a fantastic job. I got so tired of all of the longest closeups of the Main Character that you wanted to punch that stare off her face and not care what she “plans” and focus on SJ, Nick or Main Auntie. Unfortunately, I felt like I was just getting through some seasons, but I’m glad I got this drama under my belt finally after attempting three times because the beginning is a bit slow but then gets a lot better. So hang in there if you have the time….! 😜
