I waited 2 long years for this and was incredibly disappointed. Against my better judgment, I watched the entire thing, even after wanting to give up after 3 episodes. I didn’t like it even one little bit. I feel like they misrepresented what this was supposed to be, as it is a love story and NOT a haunting story. Victoria Pedretti (who plays Danielle in this and Nelly from Hill House) is such a great actress and did awesome in Hill House. In this show, it’s like she suddenly forgot how to act and was overdoing it in her actions, facial expressions, and even in the way she talked and walked. The two kids were cute at first, but if I heard “delightfully splendid” one more time I was gonna scream. 🤣 This was predictable and I had everything figured out fairly quickly. Episode 8 was the most painfully boring and drawn out thing I have watched in a long time. It really should have been one of the first episodes or should have just been a very short story as part of another episode. It didn’t need to be an entire episode. I have never wanted a show to be over as badly as I wanted this one. Such a let down, after Hill House being so incredibly awesome.
