Jon Anderson

A story about liberals engineering the election of a pope they want. “This is war” they assert, and the lead liberal candidate declares he’s lost faith in the church. If only the church was more socially liberal…Conservatives are predictably the bad guys, and the final vote is for a dark horse candidate who is vaguely intersex (not trans but as close as the director dared). Theology isn’t as strong a contender as ideology in this film, although I enjoyed the cinematography and acting.
