I really enjoyed this film. It was introspective, visually entertaining, imaginative, and featured a main character who was easy to identify with on an emotional level. I was so caught up in Paul's distress that I found myself enraged at the end when he became even more victimized- this time by the cruelties of capitalism.
I love the way Nic Cage is evolving as an actor; he takes himself less seriously now and acts the hell out of roles like this one. His range is phenomenal, and I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
