So first just to make it clear. I personally liked the movie and give it 5 stars. But the actual story 3. stars. It literally moved me to tears. Great characters, great acting, very moving and heart felt. However, I just don't agree that the daughter should have let him go for 10 years.
Haji should have been able to live with them and start a new life with the daughter and not in isolation living under an abandoned train with only some food and water left to him by the train station employees. As being an avid dog lover and humanitarian, Haji should have been given a better life than waiting for his master for 10 years, with no opportunities to live a indoors where it was warm. I mean, I get it, he wanted to wait for his master because he was so touching. But the daughter should have looked after him everyday, took him to the vet and the dog parks to meet other dogs, and play and grow up with her son and husband! Someone should have taken the dog in to live a normal healthy life instead of letting the dog live in isolation in the cold. I know it's just a movie, but it's based on a true story and someone still should've taken Haji in.
