CH gives a brilliant performance , it was his performance and his interpretation, which I found very watchable , he is the saviour of this series, as were many of the performances , Laurie Metcalf is equally brilliant as his domineering mother Sadly many will embrace his performance as what Gein was actually like: there is audio of Gein , interviews and such , Gein was rather a different character all together. However overall … the series is so far from fact, it’s beyond ridiculous Sad thing is people will believe this is the truth about Gein about his life and his victims There was a great opportunity here to make something like Dahmer , but this was a great opportunity along with great talent wasted; as the series went on it I found , personally, it became more and more laughable, it lost its way into the intellectually benign. …. Great acting , but the integrity of the writing was just way below par .

I loved the original with a passion, however , I found the sequel very ‘weak’ Plot was paper thin, unoriginal , slightly cliched and predictable Some decent acting , however found the films lead not plausible Fight scenes seemed unnatural and choreographed Special effects were not the best, seen better CGI on films made over decade ago Overall I found the film lack lustre, Hyped up on the original which was by far superior in drama , action , intensity and cinematography Glad i didn’t pay to see it and it was free to watch on Paramount +

Gladiator II

An intense movie , made with great cinematography and superb acting It’s a film of its time 1958 , but even then I think it pushed the envelope in the dramatic scenes of the soldiers making their way to Dunkirk , brilliant cast , Mills a consummate actor , portrays the ‘Everyman’ soldier with a sort of gusto of disbelief at the horrors of war . Film is nearly 70 years old now but still poignant, still relevant today and a cinematic journey that will make you look to the heavens and thank all the brave soldiers , men and women who sacrificed everything for us today
