I am giving it a 5 star just by the mere fact of how powerful it was in making me realize that it wasn’t my fault to have required multiple, MULTIPLE attempts to break off from my abusive relationship. I cried so much at the scene where Denise told Alex it normally takes 7 times for a woman to finally leave DV for good. I saw myself in Alex when she was in denial for being abused, or at least underselling the experience. We tend to blame ourselves for not being strong enough, assertive enough, determined enough - at least I did. Cheers to all the women who finally summoned the courage to break free, and those who will.
