honestly could’ve been the best pokémon game easily, the ideas presented are a massive leap forward for the series, the open world is addicting and the gameplay loop feels a lot more fluid due to several small improvements , the difficulty is honestly decent especially given how easy some of the recent games have been the writing is decent the pokémon models look great as well the branching pathways in the game provide a lot more options as to what to do and allows the player to handle stuff in whatever order they choose, the performance in certain areas however is bad like really bad. which is really the only big issue with this game, the frame rate and overall environmental look (excluding a few areas) is piss poor, which is a shame because everything else presented is great the music is top notch the characters are as well, if the next pokémon game was actually given longer than 3 years of development and more time to create smoother animations and fix frame rates issues before all else the next pokémon game has potential to be the best in the entire series.
