Show is pro Tully, book is pro Kate I think they did Kate so dirty in the series and I’m literally just starting it after devouring the book. In the show, they paint her as snarky and passive aggressive. In the book, she was forgiving to a fault and always took the back seat to Tully. In the book, Tully was always looking to make herself look better and to advance her career - even if it meant exposing her best friend for all the world to see. In the show, they paint her as more measured and she actually apologizes regularly. She never apologized in the book. The worst crime of the show vs the book is what they did to the Johnny and Kate love story. The book love story is so lovely. You feel that Johnny has thoughts of what could have been but he never falters in his dedication to Kate and he’s a true partner to her. In the show, he’s a dick and continues to fawn over Tully. But really, it makes sense in the show that Johnny is a dick because Kate is kind of a dick. There are so so so many inconsistencies but the drama inserted to the show was annoying. The story was beautiful as is.

Why does Bella’s character talk like Elizabeth Holmes the whole time? And just say “quantum physics” over and over again? And the bad boy with a European accent yet nobody else in his family has an accent… the dialogue is absolutely idiotic. I was sick in bed and had watched everything semi interesting and stumbled upon this. Regrets.
