It definitely an interesting film...
So my brother and I decided to watch this film one night after seeing the trailer and thinking it looked like a decent ghost story.
The general premise is about a boy with an autoimmune disease that’s taken to a creepy old house that’s been turned into a clinic, for some pioneering treatment. However, as soon as Eli arrives, spooky things start happening and we get the feeling that everything is not as it seems with the doctors and clinic.
This first half of the film is pretty solid and interesting. The acting is good, the atmosphere is creepy and there’s a nice amount of ghost activity and jump scares.
However, the last 30mins is just... strange. It’s like they decided to completely drop the storyline and do something completely different. You could happily chop the film in half and your wouldn’t know they were suppose to go together.
I love plot twists but they only work if the foundation is there. And it’s not in this film. I won’t spoil the ending for anyone who braves this film but you’ve been warned!
