With people talking about the younger audience possibly being put off my the amount of violence, crudeness, and dark themes in the movie, it just makes me think about the fact that kids aren't exactly the target audience. The people who love Shrek and the first movie (which are decades old) are the target audience, and that crude and dark humor aspect is what Shrek was.
Plus, if you look into the movie, the resolution is very wholesome and has a very positive message.
The animation and fight scenes were all awesome, 10/10, do recommend
