I found the book so depressing. Thought of it as a very sad read. The little value attached to a life of a black "man", in the early 1920's America, is communicated so strongly in this book.
I appreciated the "lesson" on the consequences of sin, the fact that children and many others tend to suffer due to the sins of their "fathers".
