Imagine a meeting with producers and writers, the best Hollywood could provide. Of all the wonderful stories that the LoTR books provided, this cliche story was the pitch that won in the meeting of the minds? This story that had no purpose, no direction, and no cannon to it other than naming the keep Helms Deep. At least HBO kept to tradition and the nostalgia of the Tolkien stories with Rings of Power, regardless what critics say about that show. But the silver lining was the great artistry by the animators, and fantastic VO by the cast. Dear Hollywood: next time you get a wild hair up your backside to make a Tolkien movie, just donโt.
