The goods
Ewan mcregor - what an actor. It is nostalgic and feels like home to have him back on our screens. Unlike some reviews I enjoyed seeing his ptsd and depression, why are we moaning that he is not โtough anymoreโ. He literally lost his best friend to the dark side, he feels like a failure and probably at this points wants to turn his back on the Jedi ways. Ewan has aged perfectly for this role. The references to knowing old characters was heartwarming.
Darth Vader/annakin
Great to see how hateful annakin actually is, remember at this point itโs only 10 years on, he is not an old man yet. The fire scene was incredible, the flames reflecting on to his mask. It was a moment for Star Wars fans.
The scenery/set. - beautiful, and felt like the good old days.
The bads
Reva - she is not scary, nor evil and does not have the acting abilities for this role. She is the only one that looks like she is acting. I cringe when she is on the screen. Needs a lot of character development. I think Disney should of made her less sure of herself deep down, that way she would connect to the audience that she is trying to prove something. Some flashbacks of why she hates kenobi so much would have helped, (Lucas style flashbacks not Disney).
Leia outrunning adults - laughable, and not realistic. Horrendous to watch.
More force talk - I would have loved to see more of annakin and kenobi communicating in the force. I know it was present at some points but some dialogue would have been awesome for true Star Wars fans.
Overall I liked it a lot, some room for improvement.
