Mark Fitzsimmons

I wanted to like it - I really did. Production value and visual effects are solid. The problems are in incoherent and inconsistent writing and directing. The world feels as hollow as it looks pretty, and the characters don't use their screen time to establish anything about themselves or the relationships between them. Too much time is wasted on bizarre side characters, like the denim lumberjacks in the woods, the one speaking in such a distracting Cockney accent alongside Elora who talks like she's from the US in 2022. The series needed a more thoughtful creator at the helm, and it clearly doesn't have one.
