I didn’t like the first two Wonka movies and I hate musicals but this movie was AMAZING! I was blown away by the talent, creativity, and songs. They keep original parts of the first movie so those who are nostalgic with fall in love and Timothee Chalamet was the PERFECT Wonka. 10/10 stars, I could not give higher praise!

The editing sucks, many shots are overblown. The protagonist is unlikable and whiney, her boyfriend’s friends are also unlikable. This movie is absolute garbage, I hated every minute of it but watched it the end hoping it would get better. There was no actual research put in or effort because nothing about this cult seemed actually consistent or pagan as someone who has studied paganism excessively from an anthropology perspective. The movie is boring and has no details or context for why they do what they do, and I would never recommend this movie or watch it again. As someone who loves movies and isn’t usually critical, I give this 1/5 stars only because I can’t go lower.
