Divergent has some exciting moments, but the story feels rushed, making it hard to connect with what’s happening. Major events and character decisions often come out of nowhere, leaving parts of the story feeling confusing and incomplete. The aftermath of key events isn’t explored enough, which makes the resolution feel unsatisfying. While it’s a decent read, it could have been much better if it had taken more time to fully develop its ideas.
My three biggest criticisms are the rushed pacing, abrupt transitions, and lack of depth.
