A strong contender not only for one of the worst films of 2021, but also EVER. I have second hand embarrassment for everyone involved in this film.
The dialogue was so terrible it should be on trial at The Hague. I am genuinely befuddled as to why fine actors such as Rufus Sewell and Vicky Krieps were involved in this absolute mess, and how M Night Shyamalan managed to elicit such horrible performances from them (I mean, the script gave them virtually nothing to work with I guess, so why am I surprised).
Honestly, there is nothing to recommend this film, I beg you not to pay to go see it; though it is so bad it is at times hysterically funny. But just wait until it is shown on tv, and mentally prepare to lose time and IQ points viewing this absolute load of tripe. There is no way the positive reviews are real; these people are either being paid to give it undeserved praise, they have been employed on this production, or they have recently been lobotomised. If this film doesn't instigate the end of the directors career, I have no idea what will. Stupid plot, horribly written and acted, featuring way too much of Shyamalan himself, who is also a wooden actor, there is nothing in the way of redeeming qualities to be found here.
