The show is clearly an homage to the 30s cartoons that inspired the game. The problem is it doesn’t seem to know who its audience is: children or fans of the game (who I assume are older because of the difficulty and all the references older folks would appreciate).
The animation is great, but I hope that if the show continues that they amp up the writing. Doing this style of cartoon for an adult audience instead of trying to play to all ages would be a unique approach.
