I was excited to see this one based on the trailers, and overall, I did enjoy it! I jumped, I cringed, and had to grab my friend's arm a few times, and I couldn't predict where it was going. I also laughed a couple of times, the humor that was added was done very well. I love a good witchcraft/voodoo/supernatural element, and I think the foundation of this film's plot could have been so much more solid if any sort of backstory info was given at all. Literally anything. There was no explanation for what gathering all of the kids was going to do to help the aunt, ultimately, either.
Gave it 3 out of 5 because it was still a fun trip to the movies, I was certainly entertained, but the story itself has holes that leave me unsatisfied.
