Powerful story. Appreciated the brutal depiction of war, the incredible endurance of some people, the cruelty of others, and the absolute necessity to seek , or at least hope for, reason and beauty in life. I would like to think that all the low lighting was a purposeful metaphor for sad and horrific events, but it only made it harder for me to see what was happening. I renamed the series “The dark narrow road to the deep dark north”.

What impresses me is the dialogue which is what I imagine Latin translated into English would sound like. Gratitude to the writers.

Daniel Holden is an interesting cross between Forrest Gump and Walt Longmire. And that's all I have to say about that.....
