This film is brilliant. The acting is superb and the writing is fresh and original. The thing that stands out most to me in this film is I felt the pain and anguish suffered by each of the characters at the hands of the empire's 20 year rule. When a lead character says "suddenly the rebellion is real to you. Some of us have been living with this since we were six years old" I really felt the heavy heart of their loss. The character desperation for freedom is discussed in episode four but the audience never really felt it. This film makes you face the pain and horror of the empire. I think it's a brilliant addition to the Star Wars catalog.
