Graphics and gameplay shine as the finest parts of Last of Us Part II. It is a marvel to see the technology that naughty dog has put together.
That being said I never liked The Last of Us for the graphics and gameplay. I liked it for the story. Without the solid narrative and relationship between Joel and Ellie the first game would've been an unremarkable, though fun, adventure through another post-apocalyptic world. After finishing the Last of Us I never wanted another game with similar gameplay, I didn't even want another game in the series. When they released The Last of Us II I ONLY bought the game to see how the story would continue. Unfortunately, the story is essentially a rushed cash-grab with surface level themes like "Revenge is bad". I wished I was missing some hidden message in this mess but it doesn't seem like it. Don't buy this game for the story. If you buy it, buy it for the gameplay and graphics or else you'll be disappointed.
