Butchered the book and fed us the fatty, unidentifiable, rotten parts. Changed the story entirely and completely lacked the important details which made the book amazing and chilling. Awful rendition lacking even in the looks department, no beauty or horror emanates from this. Did the director have someone who knew someone who read a summery of the book explain to him the plot??? Atrocious injustice to King’s work and quite blatantly disrespectful to the audience. This is only a quarter decent if you: 1. have not read the book and know the true horror of the story. 2. Like sparse cheap jump scares and a quickened plot lacking substance.
