Technicaly the films is well shot the audio is well done but It feels like 3 films stiched together. The tone swings all over the place. Some great actors are wasted on 1 dimensional characters. The ending is so stupid that if feels like an acid trip Induced scene. They forgot to remove. The weird obsession with massive dongs is in need of profession assessment by qualified medical professionals. I wanted to like this so much. So what I got was a massive disappointment that just felt completely wrong. Almost like a reboot designed to kick off a completely diffrent concept, they slapped 28 into for the clout. It's so removed from the visually gritty human first film. In the end this could be any zombie tv series. Condensed badly into a movie.

Full of inconsistencies. Poor pacing, protagonist goes from inept person to inept person who luckily survies costing others their lives. One minute the predator is fast strong and highly intelligent. The next it's getting its arm stuck in a tree. Magic plant that could kill an adult male but just makes protagonist have a body temp equal to ambient temp with no negative effects. She apparently knows about heat vision in the 18th century.

It's a great concept, cast and opinunity. Completely ruined by the terrible script. Not a single person in this film acts like a real person. Rider in front of a train carrying a prisoner. Best stop. No he would run her down. Found out they are going to kill you. Best cower and hope, rather than fight tooth and nail. It's not gritty enough and panders to a political message that just didn't exist. These outlaws had real reasons for the lives they lead. None of that is shown at all. It's a shame I wanted to see a black central story. That showed what can be done with any genre. Instead I ended up thinking maybe these directors and writers can't step out of their trauma.
