There are is fantastic actors and cut scenes but ultimately it is offensive for both gamers and horror fanatics despite having a lot of potential. The mechanics are so absent or slow that there is no excitement and I've found myself falling asleep even when I am in a rare action sequence. To compare this to dark pictures is insulting to their work which o will happily shell out every new edition. The writing is cliche with 20 year Olds acting like 12 year Olds in the way they interact with each other. It is clear that any of these decisions don't matter to the story anyway. This should have just been a movie and we can all leave it at that.
