This is a classic. I love it and showed it every year to my high school AP seniors because it was a good in combo with Waiting for Godot. I thought that was an original idea of mine that the two men characters Willy and Eddie were like Didi and Gogo, but a film critic I found online had already said that (sorry, forgot who). Some classes would laugh uproariously and others seemed generally puzzled. The kids with an absurdist sensibility got it. If you only like conventional films, skip it. I literally have parts of it memorized. Probably one of my favorite scenes is when Eva, Willy and Eddie are standing in the snow looking at the lake. Or when Aunt Lotte curses at Willy for taking Eva. For teachers. it has swearing, but I just used a permission slip and there is no sexual content and that is really what parents were worried about. Anyway, my favorite movie really.
