I'm very disappointed in this game unfortunately. I avoided all spoilers and went in blind, but I wish I had seen a few reviews before spending 90+$ CAD on it, or waited until there was a DLC out at least. I really wish I had only spent $35 CAD MAX on it. Pros: - I like the clothes. There aren't enough masculine options that aren't ugly fedoras and leather shoes though. Cons: - The map is very small, 10 hours in I'm finished exploring the entirety of it. - The pokédex is very small and limited, I don't believe the new megas make up for that. • In the wild zones there's only like 5 different pokemon in each one give or take one or two. - There currently is a lot of issues relating to targeting. • One of them being that you have to be very close to a pokemon to hit them with a pokeball, enough so that I waste an insane amount of pokeballs- and they even have an NPC who collects your lost balls for you, which means they knew about this issue before launch. • Another issue related to targeting is that your moves will sometimes just get blocked by random objects when you're battling. • Another is that Alphas will completely ignore your pokemon and chase you down and they WILL kill you. • Another is that during Rogue Mega battles, when you're dodging attacks- your pokemon will move when you move and so your pokemon will soak up all the attacks and damage that you're trying to dodge! • Another issue is that sneaking/using grass is basically useless, pokemon and NPC trainers will see you/hear you constantly despite it. - The ranked multiplayer battling system is absolute chaos because of the targeting issues. I don't even know what to really say about it. - The characters are SO boring, like why did they make a second electric streamer trainer character. I'm just super disappointed in the way the company has handled this game series recently. I just miss feeling like there was something to explore, rather than playing something that feels like if you asked AI to create a Pokemon game that felt empty and corporate. Feels bad.
