So so so poorly written! A book from an author that knows many words, but is terrible at using them. The sentence structure and rhythm are painfully awkward. There is no consistency of perspective. Every single character struggles to at best be 2 dimensional. There is not a single quality in any of the supposed heroes that makes you care for them. And the action is so cheesy it would have not passed muster for a script of the A-Team or Thunder Cats. On top of all that, the author seems to have the most simplistic and sophomoric understanding of politics and political nuance. This book honestly reads like a dorky 9th grader’s Jack Ryan fan fiction. I bet the author’s mom thinks he’s wonderful.
