This movie is just what a FNAF fan would ask for. Here is a little history for ya. 8 years ago I was graduating high school and was in love with the first game. My friends and I would play all night long hoping to be the first to beat night five. When Markiplier became the king of FNAF I knew this would be a series we would all never forget. Now with this knowledge please know I am biased. However, this movie makes slight changes but also provides Easter eggs that even a casual fan can smile when they see it. The movie pushes the boundaries of a PG-13 film and that is a great thing. The work the Jim Henson company has done with these characters is nothing short of phenomenal. I would love to see this continue even if for the sake of the fans who love it since it was done on such a small budget compared to other “horror” movies and also with the option to premiere on streaming at home same day is also a risk, but I think it will drive sales of the game. This alone could provide enough driving force to encourage a second film. This movie does have a much larger story and spends more time on the characters but this is not a bad thing, but could be too much for someone just looking for a scary movie with killer robots. Overall great film at least check it out on peacock for a family friendly ish movie about a game series that has been talking about this movie for eight years. Finally it’s time.
