You Should Have Left was an okay movie, the acting was great I think, but the storyline was bland, it didn’t have any depth. I gave it three stars because it wasn’t even close to the worst movie I’ve ever seen, great set, great actors, the story just had no real depth. Don’t spend the $20 to rent, it’s worth renting once the price goes down.

I see comments about this movie being racist, or how people learned valuable life lessons? Come on, it really is just another super hero movie after all. The market is flooded with super hero movies and this one is not that much different from the rest. Sure, some of the side stories are SLIGHTLY different from the oh so predictable norm of super hero movies, but really it’s just another super hero movie at the end of the day. The people placing special significance on perceived race or racism in this movie are just desperately grasping at straws to somehow make the movie more meaningful to themselves. Side note: it’s a super hero movie... there is a new on released every other day, if you didn't like this one, there will be a new one tomorrow. I’m not getting pulled into a racism convo because of a damn super hero movie. Is it just me or is everyone else’s brain becoming numb to super hero movies?

I could watch a full length movie of Buster Scruggs. The character and acting was awesome and witty. Pan shot!

The movie was flat out boring. It started out all right but then it gets muddled. The “shadow people”, that live underground are supposed to have a deep and meaningful message ... but it really fell flat for me. Basically the movie is about a bunch of doppelgängers forced to live underground, (even though there was an escalator up and easy access out) and after being trapped down there for a long time in really bad conditions they come above ground to take over the world because it’s “their turn”. So they hold hands in a long line and stand there doing nothing while others run around killing a bunch of people. The character of mom/red was the main focus and the storyline was spread way to thin. By the end I was hoping both of them would die. The best part is when Zora Wilson killed the Becca and Lindsey Tyler doppelgängers. The rest was just blah. The plot around mom/red was sappy and melodramatic. US rode the damsel in distress plot into the ground as far as I’m concerned.
