My gf and I watched "Joker" last night, and the first word that comes to mind is BRILLIANT. The film crafts a tale of real world issues; mental health, classism, opiod crisis, while paying homage to Joker's of years past. A powerful, captivating performance by Joaquin Phoenix, along with a mesmerizing score equals an absolute MASTERPIECE.
