I have been a huge fan of Star Trek most of my life and Star Trek Discovery does not hold up to the production of Star trek The Next Generation in which most of the seasons were 26 episodes and only one season had 24 episodes. It is like the writer's and production crew of these younger people are way to lazy to produce in a series like what they were able to produce in the 90's and earlier. 8 to 13 episodes per season is ridiculous, then the show disappears for more then a year, when Star Trek Next Generation started up in September for anyone season and finished up their 24th to 26th episode in June without any reruns and were back again in that following September with another 24 to 26 episodes with a entirely new season. When the series of a show is gone for so long it is very easy to loose interest which is exactly what happen to me with Star Trek Discovery. The show was also like one long soap opera that was not at all like Next Generation that each episode had a story that concluded at the end of each episode. I know that it is not because each season is to hard to make or keep up with the past, and if anything it should be in fact much easier not harder; Just about all of the tv shows today do not produce as much as they did in the past and start to show reruns way to soon which they never did in the past within their 9 month season period, it is completely absurd how lazy the writer's and production crew's are today, HELLO!! In the past tv shows ran just like clock work were they came out in September, ended in June and started back up in September again with only reruns shown during summer time, it was really nice.
