All I see from the one star reviewers is “too mystical” and “boring” and “gruesome”, first of all, it’s rated R for a reason, two, it’s Viking culture, hence mystical? And in my opinion they were building up the story and characters at the beginning so it started off slow for a reason and then it got really intense later and the story picked up. Also, this is how viking movies should be, gruesome, grunting, mystical, yelling, and revenge. Don’t go watch a Viking movie unless you know a lot about Viking culture, I personally thought it was a change from all the washed up movies that have been being released for the last 10 years. I would watch it again. Reminded me of a Viking spin-off of gladiator/braveheart.
