The documentary of 'Trials of Gabriel Fernandez' is about a chilling and horrible story involving the death of 8 year old Gabriel as a result of the torture he received and ultimately the final beating that caused his death. The series documents that, not only was the mother and the mother's boyfriend responsible, but public workers who were called to intervene did not follow through with their responsibility of protecting Gabriel ultimately also leading to his death. I highly recommend this series! It reveals the issues of child abuse lost in the system and how often times these children are still returned to their abusive environments. This is an issue that is often times hidden around our every day lives and this series really brings that to light. I highly recommend watching this!
