I have never watched a series that could make me feel so many emotions. I was a loyal fan to the 1985 version, that kept a lot of the novel's original ideas. But Anne with an E became SO MUCH MORE. It talked about issues that would not be included in any series. And this series talks about SOOOOO MANY of them. It doesn't pretend that things were just happy and sappy. It was real, but so beautifully written and shown. Gorgeous sights, really talented actors and actresses, story line is superb, even the song about Anne in the beginning is so beautiful with the illustrations. WHY WON'T THEY RENEW THIS? It doesn't make sense.
