There was no conflict, no resolution to the no conflict. This has the ingredients of woke cinema and could’ve been a great story if there had been a story. Plot: woman can sing, is black and gay, life is hard, she get a record contract, and that’s it. No following her career…the movie ended and I seriously asked my wife “is this a series?”. There wasn’t enough movie! Weird….
