As an autistic kid without cable, that show aired on my PBS station. As it originally first ran on cable until moving into syndication for the last two seasons. Without cable, I was very distracted with PBS when I didn't have cable, and when I first discovered Peep, I fell in love with it. Unlike all other PBS Kids shows, this show had a somewhat a coming-of-age story about the three birds. Chirp, for example wanted to fly, and she finally did in one segment. However, other episodes don't usually follow up the continuity, but it's possible to combine the segments into a chronological order.
The soundtrack in this series are calm and relaxing unlike other kids shows on PBS, as most of those shows have more of a hyper cheerful music.
From where I lived, Peep only aired once every week when they aired the last two seasons first-run. I even grown up without internet to make matters worse. Think of like the cable channels and their shows didn't exist in 2010, Peep would be the only show perfect for me. Other Saturday morning cartoons were not first-run at the time, and were not as good as Peep.
I couldn't watch the show more frequently unless I had the internet. Other than that, it's a very good show. If you don't have cable TV, the internet, or any streaming services such as Netflix, or a smart TV for that matter, but have the 24-hour PBS Kids channel, it's a perfect show for kids airing weekend mornings. If they take the series off the air on that channel, prepare yourself to migrate to the internet and buy a smart TV.
