As a basketball lover I couldn't help but spend 70$ on 2k24 since I was sitting at home bored. Under 6 hours from buying the game I requested a refund. MyCareer is really the only game mode that ever really changes, presentation from the menus to the broadcast and halftime seem really lazily made. The whole selling point for me was that it was supposedly "more realistic" but that's a bit far fetched if you ask me. I haven't tried the Mamba moments mode but I heat its underwhelming compared to the Jordan Challenge and I believe it. Pay to play is basically the name of the game when it comes to career so I refused to even try that mode. MyNBA added 2 new eras and its really the only game mode I spent time on. It's a good way to get introduced to the year in and year out change of gameplay mechanics and get the hang of the game. I like that they fixed a few players jumpers from last years 2k so that they actually look accurate this year. Newly added signature moves from players are nice. My biggest complaint is that the gameplay doesn't feel anything like an actual NBA game. I only play on Superstar and HOF difficulty and I've never liked how 2k makes it damn near impossible to shoot with players that you're not really great with the timing on their jumper. Layup timing sucks in my opinion and easy looks are missed all the time with little defense. The worst part is that you'll be playing solid defense by being up close on your match-up, yet they make contested jumpshots and layups regularly. I'm really starting to not be a fan of the franchise at this rate
