Nostalgic. Timeless. I think this movie stuck to the script but also added more depth to the original. The music, as always, was wonderful and brought tears to my eyes. I love this original so much, and I thought these actors brought it to life in a respectable, fantastic way. The CGI was something I worried about before watching the movie, but you can tell they spent a lot of time perfecting it. I think the perspective from which they shot the scenes was a fresh glimpse into how CGI should be used in film, especially when the actors are interacting with these creatures the entire time. From the cinematography, set, and costumes, they all stayed true to the original and really brought HTTYD to life. The actors also embodied their characters very well. I can imagine that bringing an animated character, which usually is made to show lots of different, exaggerated expressions, to a real person can definitely change the character, but these actors definitely brought something new to the character while also saying true to the og Overall amazing cant wait for the next one!
