Missed opportunity, and a failure by the Director. This is filmed closer to a Broadway musical than a proper movie. If you're looking for a Walk the Line type of movie, you won't find it here. This is fast framed, 5 second shots, extreme close ups, quick flashbacks, and we're back on stage singing for a few seconds, rinse and repeat. No continuity to the story. Elvis deserves better.
