I loved the movie. It could have been better, but the "monsters" where amazing and I was hoping there'd be friendlies in there. Bowman (Kalon Cox) stole the show to me. He was an amazing child actor and hope to see more of him in upcoming films. He was funny and whoever cast him for the spot was spot on. As much as I wanted to push this movie to family and friends, I would have to say wait for it to come out on something similar to Prime. Yes, it was well produced and the imagination of the monsters were great - I love those spongy spiders. I loved how when they stepped on them or other, they'd have coloring puffs of powder (no blood). Very creative. The blind monster with his little warning creature was amazing too. Overall, it just seemed to miss the spot for blowout hit.

Outstanding movie. Any family that struggles that much has got to have a lot of faith. The dad going into a deep depression as the mom holds the family together is patterns in our world today. His coming out of the depths to apologize to the family and humbling himself to make sure that his daughter gets the chance at becoming a singer makes this movie a classic. I will be purchasing the movie when it comes out for sure.

Outstanding! Marvelously produced and the actors were phenomenal. Honestly wasn't all that excited about going to see this film, but I got convinced to go for the ride and now I'm buying it as soon as it becomes available. The sound track was out of this world! I was also shocked to find that about 1/3 of the movie was in Italian w/subtitles, so that made it that much more rich with authenticity. NOTE: Read those subtitles quickly...you know those Italians. They speak fast so those subtitles move along...keep up :) I learned a lot too about how politics and religion work together and I also didn't know that Italians were treated so poorly, so that's another eye-opener for me. Diego is a bad name? Apparently. Sadly, Jesus, prayer, and any mention of miracles are never done/mentioned throughout. It left those filled with the Holy Spirit (believers) disappointed. The Author of Life should always receive the glory - not Cabrini. Overall, I highly recommend the movie and enjoy the acting, soundtrack, education, and wholesomeness that you don't always get to see at the theaters these days.

An amazing movie and I want to watch it again. Admittedly, my mom (who is very picky with her movie dollars) and I were reluctant since neither one of us are big fans of musicals. In fact, the Greatest Showman musical still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We almost chose "Napoléon" but we were glad we stayed with Journey to Bethlehem. Casting was remarkable. Great acting, but the big kicker for me was the humor in the movie. Very clever writing. The Three Wisemen were hilarious and made me think of scripture just a bit differently. Detail to the comedy was impeccable as Faith the donkey paced outside while Mary was giving birth. BRILLANT and made my mom laugh The casting was perfect! Mary and Joseph were a great fit as were Herod and son. The Three Wisemen actors fit the part to a tee. Great job guys. UPDATE: I've bought this movie and have seen it at least 6 more times. I showed it to my students before the Christmas break; at a public school of all places to challenge my Catholic populations of what is correct or not so correct about Jesus of Nazareth, Savior of the world. The Messiah.

GOOD: the musical part was pretty good; especially the orginal songs from the original movie which was brilliantly integrated. The acting was stellar and I loved the set & scenes. The hotel gal and big dude was cool. Loved the wholesome no cussing and no cleavage approach. BAD: drawn out and dry. Wish there'd be more of how he got his factory going like after he bought the store. The giraffe gig was odd. Needed more loopas stuff and humor. Mr Bean as corrupt priest was so bizarre as I kept thinking he'd be Mr. Bean. Oh well. I also get tired of PC nonsense. Movie had potential, but just couldn't pull it off to be a big hit

Outstanding acting, intellectually engaging, and spiritually challenging. The priest got me; he wasn't saved thus had no power over the demon inhabiting Edward. The movie was the most non-cinematic movie I've ever seen. There was basically one scene set throughout the movie. The interview room, yet amazingly, the movie kept me engaged the entire time. I recommend it highly.

Amazing acting, amazing writing to make sure it stayed within the PG-13 rating. It could be so much worse for viewer if it went to R rating because I personally don't think people would have been able to handle that much when it comes to children being sold to the sex slave industry. Honestly, the clips at the beginning of the movie got me the most - real life abductions. The Lord says, “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea."
