What an amazing accomplishment….one most of us don’t truly comprehend. I’m the mother of a son who has climbed and guided on many of those same mountains—who knows how quickly a mountain can bring tragedy, who knows the hardships it takes to climb those mountains one at a time…not 14 in less than 7 months. Who knows how critical the Nepali climbers and sherpas are to any climb. Watching this movie I felt I had a little more intimacy with what goes on than most people and I was mesmerized the entire time. It is an intense, insane accomplishment that allows all us arm chair climbers into a world we’ll never experience. The scenery is breathtaking and it is filled with beautiful ordinary human moments. Treat yourself and watch this documentary. The scenery alone is worth it but it’s far far more than that.
