The acting was ok despite some of the characters not matching their race. For example, the male elves except for Elrond and Arondir look extremely old for elves.
I found the trip to Khazad-Dum to be entertaining. The relationship between Durin and Disa is very endearing.
The horror elements with Arondir and Bronwen's scenes were well done too. At least for me (and I'm a bit of a sissy.)
The only character I find hard to like is Galadriel. Her storyline seems like a typical vengeance fueled one. But I can honestly see that she has the most potential for growth.
I feel like with a few tweaks to the story and lore this show could have made this a standalone fantasy in its own right. But I understand that the LotR name gives it its budget not to look like say The Shannara Chronicles.
I'll be back to watch more.
